Recently, I've come across one of my friends journal about her artworks being sold at conventions without her knowing it. It didn't bother me much because the group has been taken down but then my sister told me yesterday that some of her deviations are actually being posted in blogs and other websites and those who actually did are claiming it as their own. Talk about disrespect.
To all those who are guilty of this crime. I hope you're aware of the consequences. The works of those artists are their intellectual property and you could be sued, imprisoned and not to mention pay ten-folds of the price you're offering to those poor souls you're deceiving. Give credit where credit is due.
To every artist who value their work, let's prevent this from happening again. Please put your signature or anything that will make people recognize the art as your own.
The bottom line here is respect.
